Life & work
Iranian material, different ensembles
Yeganeh's engagement with Iranian music extends beyond Damahi's southern repertoire. He drew on Baluchi music for his music-degree thesis, and on Iranian material in Ghali Irani and Kahgel. His ensemble work includes Abrang, followed by Naima, and collaborations with Peter Soleimanipour and Arian Keshishi.3 Kahgel brings him together with Kaveh Sarvarian and Mahan Mirarab.4
With Damahi and Majid Salari, the focus turns toward the music of Bandar Abbas and its meeting with jazz.3 His contribution to Damahi's Neighborhood of the Sleepers is piano, alongside vocalist Reza Koolaghani, with oud, bass, drums and percussion completing the ensemble.5
From the studio to the trio
Hand In Hand combines Yeganeh's compositions and piano, keyboards and synthesizers with Idin Sadeghzadeh's electric bass. He also handles production, mixing and mastering. The guests have specific places in the ten-track studio album: Amin Taheri plays drums on the opening track, and Kaveh Sarvarian percussion and tombak on tracks two and nine.6
The separate Hand In Hand (Live at Hatra 2024) returns to that repertoire as a trio with Sadeghzadeh on bass and Taheri on drums. Recorded at Hatra Music Institute, it contains the studio album's ten pieces and two older works, “Mahabadi” and “Jaam-e Darvish.”7
His collaborations also include the jointly billed album Parvâz-e Lahzehâ with Sadaf Naghavizadeh and production of Monicki's Pumpkin Latte.89
Piano as a teaching instrument
Persian Tunes For Piano (Remastered) connects his arranging and performing to teaching. The pieces progress from beginner material toward more demanding playing: left-hand rhythmic patterns recur across the collection, while chord symbols invite students to improvise. Yeganeh is credited with the arrangements, piano, production, mixing and mastering.10
The edition's chronology remains unresolved: the label says it was rerecorded at Kargadan Studio on 13 July 2024, while the streaming catalogue dates the remastered album to 30 June 2023.1011

This album, the firstin a series, introduces a unique pedagogical approach to piano playing, offering a fresh perspective on the rich Persian musical tradition. Starting from early beginner pieces like the beloved 'Majnoon Naboodom' and the iconic 'Elahe-ye Naaz,' the album lays a strong foundation by introducing left-hand rhythmic patterns, gradually building in complexity throughout. Each concept is reinforced in subsequent pieces, empowering students to incorporate learned techniques and explore their improvisational skills with the aid of chord symbols. Discover the beauty and intricacies of Persian melodies, embracing a new dimension of musical expression through the piano.
