Life & work
Regional melodies at orchestral scale
Yaghmaei says his voice was barred from broadcast for 17 years beginning in 1358 SH.3 During that period, Diar presented Iranian regional melodies as an instrumental orchestration.3 The album brings together ten regional melodies arranged for a modern large orchestra.4
After that seventeen-year period, Sib-e Noghreii was his first vocal album.3 “Raz-e Del” is a nine-part set: six vocal pieces, two chaharmozrab and one tasnif, arranged for large and electronic orchestras, chorus and traditional Iranian instruments.5
The long studio passage
Yaghmaei says he began work on Malek Jamshid nearly fourteen years before his account and spent close to three years on it.6 The recording dates from 2003–2006, and the album was released on June 10, 2016.2
Rebel was released worldwide on February 9, 2024, and has twelve songs.78 The two-track Rebel - Single is a separate product. Yaghmaei’s official channel calls its title track the album’s second single.9
Track-specific credits
Several credits name individual tracks: Kamil Yaghmaei is credited for piano or keyboard on “مهرورزان” from Maho Palang; Fereydoun Foroughi is named as singer and composer on Sol 2’s “قوزک پا”; the Arayesh-e Khorshid page credits Kaveh Yaghmaei on keyboard and Satkin Yaghmaei in the chorus for “سر کوی دوست” and “کلات”; and a Telegram caption credits Kambiz Yaghmaei on keyboard and bass for “مستُم مستُم و اسمر اسمر.”10111213 These credits apply to the named tracks.
Caltex catalog dispute
In a public statement, Yaghmaei says Caltex retitled an album he calls “Kourosh Yaghmaei’s New Concert” as Parandehe Mohajer and removed two instrumental tracks. He also contested the distribution of “Gole Yakh.”14
