Bamdad is an independent artist in Persian hip-hop.1 In a 2017 interview with Meidaan, he said he released his first song in 1388 (2009–10) and that Pelak began in 1389 (2010–11), after he met Arsalan, who knew the composer Pedram.2 Bamdad said Pelak’s identity developed through working together and getting to know one another; with Peyman’s arrival, the group took the form it had at the time of the interview.2
In the same interview, Bamdad described independence and being true to oneself as values he held above pursuing fame.2 He said Pelak offered Na through its website with a price chosen by the listener, while also making it available to hear or download free.2

Life & work
Recordings and collaboration
On Ahan, the artist’s SoundCloud page names Yara, Mahour and Farshad as composers and Yara as arranger.3 Bamdad said that, unlike Khat-e Sevom, Ahan began with an idea drawn from his view of history and humanity.2 Pelak’s credits for Gheychi place Bamdad’s rap alongside music by Yara, Mahour, Mafogh and Nekoo, with Yara responsible for recording, mixing and mastering.4
The credits for “Farda” name Yarapelak and Soroush as vocalists alongside Bamdad, with Houman Sanayi on guitar.5 On “Mojeze”, Pelak lists Yahyaa, Roody and Labeat with Bamdad for words and performance, and Shour as composer.4 The Peeleh release “Begoosham” brings Bamdad and Bahram together for lyrics and performance over music by Peymandegar.6
Zurvan
Zurvan is a five-track EP on Bamdad’s SoundCloud page, which credits five producers and Yarapelak for mixing and mastering.7 The introduction to his Cozy Corner interview describes it as a conceptual work.1
